From a broom cupboard: 20 years of rural health at Monash University

Acknowledgements

A book such as this is always the work of many people. ‘Thank you’ to the authors who have donated their time and expertise to write their view of the evolution of rural health at Monash. Together, their stories provide a multi-perspective view of this history.

There were others who also made significant contributions. Steve Kirkbright designed the cover and contributed many of the images found in this book. Ann Dettrick brought her editorial skills, enthusiasm and positive support to the project, Melissa McNicol was generous with editorial advice and Gillian Fallon was meticulous in her proof reading. Helen Cronin’s attention to detail, drive and expertise were the backbone of this project; without her this book would have remained at the good idea stage.

Like a book, an organisation such as the School of Rural Health is always the work of many people. The combined energy and dedication of hundreds of former and present staff members have made the School of Rural Health what it is today. There are too many to mention individually; however, their efforts are appreciated. They should be proud of what they have achieved.
